Early Symptoms of Nephritis

Nephritis usually refers to glomerulonephritis. Early symptoms mainly include fatigue, facial and lower limb edema, urinary abnormalities, etc. Some patients have insidious onset of the disease and have no obvious symptoms in the early stage.
1. Lack of energy and fatigue: the glomerular filtration barrier of patients with nephritis is damaged, and protein and other nutrients leak out of the body, resulting in hypoproteinemia, and then symptoms of fatigue; plasma osmolality caused by hypoproteinemia decreases, causing intracellular water leakage to the interstitium, resulting in edema of the digestive tract mucosa, and then symptoms of fatigue appear.
2. Facial and lower extremity edema: patients with nephritis have edema due to impaired glomerular filtration barrier, resulting in sodium and water retention in the body. Edema usually starts from bilateral eyelids and other loose tissues of the face, and both lower limbs often have edema at an early stage due to the effect of gravity.
3. Abnormal urination: after the glomerular filtration barrier is damaged, the protein and red blood cells in the blood can enter into the urine, and in serious cases, foamy urine or hematuria can be seen with the naked eye. In addition, some patients with nephritis will have tubular damage in the early stage, which will cause a decrease in the concentration ability of urine and a decrease in urine specific gravity.
If you find the above abnormalities, you should go to the regular hospital in time, clarify the cause of the disease and follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment.
