There are two types of shoulder injuries: 1) soft tissue injury around the shoulder joint, that is, injury to muscles, tendons and ligaments; 2) injury to the bones of the shoulder joint. If there is a bone injury and the fracture is well aligned, external fixation in a cast is usually performed and the fracture gradually reaches a state of initial clinical healing in 4-6 weeks, then the cast can be removed and functional exercises of the shoulder joint can be performed. If the fracture is displaced, surgical incision and repositioning is required, followed by internal fixation, and functional exercise of the shoulder joint can be performed in 4-6 weeks. If the soft tissues of the shoulder joint are damaged but there is no problem with the bones, the forearm should be suspended by a triangular scarf for 2-3 weeks until the inflammatory edema of the soft tissues is significantly reduced and the damaged soft tissues are initially healed, then the functional exercises of the shoulder joint can be performed. During the treatment period, oral anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs such as Nimesulide and Loxoprofen sodium should be taken to reduce the inflammatory edema and pain, and Chinese medicines such as Daqi Li capsule should be taken to increase blood circulation and promote the absorption of inflammatory metabolites to increase the speed of fracture and soft tissue healing.
