1. Spleen and Kidney Pills are effective in strengthening the spleen, tonifying the liver and kidneys, and are often used in treating weakness of the spleen and kidneys resulting in weakness of the limbs, dizziness, tinnitus, lumbar and knee pain and tenderness (a feeling of weakness and tenderness of the lumbar and knee areas), gastric and epigastric discomfort, and inability to think about food and drink.
In this formula, Radix Codonopsis, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Poria, Fructus Chrysanthemi and Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae tonify the spleen and benefit the qi; Cornus Officinalis, Fructus Lycii, Fructus Bone-setting, Lock-Yang, and Cow’s Knee tonify liver and kidney. Jin Gui Kidney Qi Pill has the function of tonifying kidney qi and is used for kidney qi deficiency resulting in lumbago and tenderness of the feet, chills in the lower half of the body, pain in the lesser abdomen, dysuria (unruly urine) or frequent urination, impotence and premature ejaculation, etc. The formula of this product is based on the principle of “the kidney is the most important element in the body’s health”.
In this formula, Di Huang, Yam, Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum, Radix Polygoni Multiflori tonify the kidney and benefit the kidney, while Zedoaria, Poria, Dampy dihydrate. Note that it is contraindicated for those with solid constitution, and adverse reactions include dizziness and abdominal distension.
The combination of Spleen and Kidney Two Helping Pills and Jin Gui Kidney Qi Pill can take care of both the spleen and kidney, and the tonic power is enhanced, which is useful for spleen and kidney deficiency.
