Does low androgen production affect fertility?

Low secretion of androgens may affect fertility, leading to low or absent sperm production in men and affecting the synthesis of estrogen and the development of the reproductive system in women. For men, androgens can promote the development and maturation of secondary features and maintain the normal function of the male reproductive organs. If androgens are secreted in excessively low amounts, they can affect the normal function of the testes, causing them to fail to produce sperm normally or to produce too little sperm or even no sperm, thus affecting normal fertility. Androgen in female body can promote the synthesis of estrogen and the development of the reproductive system. If androgen decreases, it will indirectly affect the function of ovaries and make ovulation abnormal, which in turn affects normal fertility. Therefore, it is important to maintain a good diet, eat more food rich in cholesterol, protein and zinc, and go to the hospital for examination and treatment if normal fertility is affected.
