The risks of full and semi-femtosecond surgery are that improper handling can affect the eyes in some way and complications may occur after surgery.
1. Full femtosecond: Full femtosecond surgery has the potential to cause eye pain and possibly dry eye if not performed properly. Complications such as diffuse lamellar keratitis, corneal stromal interlaminar foggy cloudy infection, delayed vision recovery, muslin or misty vision, and glare may occur after surgery.
2. Semi-femtosecond: Full femtosecond surgery, if not performed properly, may have risks such as corneal damage or slower wound healing, which can cause some damage to vision. Complications such as diffuse interlaminar keratitis, early visual impairment, infection, and corneal stromal interlaminar haze clouding may also occur.
Full and half femtoseconds need to be followed after surgery, with regular follow-ups and immediate medical attention after any abnormality.
