Children with cerebral palsy can be treated with surgery

The incidence of cerebral palsy patients is on the rise due to factors such as the increase of premature births. Statistics show that there are 6 million cerebral palsy patients in China, among which the number of cerebral palsy patients in Fujian Province is 180,000. With the progress of human medical technology, 50% of children with cerebral palsy can be treated through surgery. It is understood that Professor Sun Chengyan of Huashan Hospital of Fudan University in Shanghai pioneered FSPR cerebral palsy surgery in 2003, and there have been thousands of successful surgical cases. FSPR cerebral palsy can effectively treat spastic cerebral palsy The biggest problem with traditional cerebral palsy surgery is the proportion of posterior sensory roots removed, which is somewhat subjective and blind because of the lack of scientific and objective experimental indicators to guide the surgery. The latest FSPR surgery for cerebral palsy, on the other hand, adopts the multi-conductor electrophysiological technology advanced in Europe, America and Canada for intraoperative electromyography and evoked potential monitoring, as well as the method of electrical stimulation, so that the ratio of surgical resection of posterior roots has reference data, avoiding the high risk that may be caused by subjective experience, and greatly improving the effectiveness of the surgery. The advantages are: 1. complete release of spasticity and good effect of reducing muscle tone; 2. no effect on the motor function of the limb; 3. minimal effect on sensory function; 4. prevention of the occurrence and development of limb deformity; 5. significant overall functional improvement and correction of power deformity. Foot entropion and inability to stand alone are typical symptoms of cerebral palsy There is such a case: the mother of the child came to the hospital early in the morning to register and line up, and the report of the examination was that she could not stand, could not walk, and had limited ankle movement, which was a very obvious scissor step. In fact, this kind of child is spastic cerebral palsy, which accounts for about 75% of the whole cerebral palsy group. Tiptoe, scissor step, foot inversion, and inability to stand alone are typical symptoms of this spastic cerebral palsy. Due to the partial brain damage caused at birth, the sensory nerves innervating the lower limbs are out of control, which is why the feet and hands are getting harder and harder, which means the muscle tone is getting higher and higher, and of course, they will not walk normally. Due to the hardness of the limbs, which leads to the compression of blood vessels, the child will also grow up with the condition of atrophy of the limbs, and the symptoms will become more and more severe as they grow older. This kind of spastic cerebral palsy child is most suitable for FSPR surgery. Early diagnosis and treatment of children with cerebral palsy is of great significance. Long-term clinical research in the domestic medical field has found that the best treatment effect can be achieved by seizing the best treatment age for cerebral palsy. (1) Early detection and early treatment, as the motor system of young children is at the developmental stage, early detection of motor abnormalities and early correction can easily achieve better results. (2) Promote normal motor development, inhibit abnormal movements and postures according to the laws of motor development in children, functional training, and gradually promote the correct movement of children. (3) It is conducive to the use of various effective means to carry out comprehensive and diversified comprehensive treatment for the child. (4) It is conducive to the combination of family rehabilitation training and doctor-directed rehabilitation.
