A large stomach can be determined according to the patient’s clinical manifestations, imaging tests, etc. to determine whether it is ascites or obesity.
1. Clinical manifestations: patients with ascites and obese people have different manifestations.
(1) Ascites: ascites underlying diseases such as cirrhosis, abdominal tumors, abdominal tuberculosis, etc. The examination is positive for mobile turbidities. Those due to viral hepatitis, cirrhosis and other diseases, patients will have loss of appetite, jaundice of the skin, nausea and vomiting, spider nevus on the chest, hepatosplenomegaly and other manifestations.
(2) Obesity: Most of the patients will have shortness of breath and inflexibility during activities. Severe overweight affects the heart function, which will lead to chest tightness and shortness of breath, lower limb edema and other manifestations.
2. Imaging examination: such as abdominal ultrasound, CT, MRI can be used as a method of identification.
