What is the success rate of children donating their liver

In most cases, the matching success rate of children’s liver donation is around 90%. For patients undergoing liver transplantation, their postoperative recovery is not only related to the degree of preoperative donor liver matching, but also has a significant correlation with the patient’s own physical condition and primary disease. For some patients with viral hepatitis, if the viral replication is not controlled, there is a possibility of further formation of liver fibrosis or cirrhosis after liver transplantation. For some patients with malignant tumors, the possibility of tumor recurrence still exists after surgical treatment with liver transplantation. For patients undergoing liver transplantation, comprehensive judgment should be made to determine whether there are indications for liver transplantation, and liver transplantation should be considered after screening for surgical indications.
