Acne is generally referred to as acne in medical terms. Acne on the face may be related to factors such as keratinization of follicular sebaceous gland ducts, changes in androgen levels, and bacterial infections.
1. Keratinization of follicular sebaceous gland ducts: If the follicular sebaceous gland ducts become keratinized, the follicle opening will become smaller, narrower, and clogged, resulting in the inability of sebum to be discharged, which will induce acne.
2. Changes in androgen levels: Increased levels of androgens in the body after puberty can stimulate sebaceous glands to secrete more sebum, and the blockage of sebum discharge can lead to acne attacks.
3. Bacterial infection: Propionibacterium acnes produces low molecular polypeptides and downstream products that activate keratinocytes and stimulate an inflammatory reaction around the hair follicle, thus causing acne.
There are many causes of acne on the face, and patients are advised to go to a regular hospital for examination and clarification of the cause of the disease.
