Seasonal allergic rhinitis is commonly referred to as “hay fever” and most patients develop it during the pollen dispersal period. In addition to the typical symptoms of allergic rhinitis, symptoms such as itchy eyes, swollen eyes, tearing and red eyes may also occur. These symptoms can last for several weeks and disappear once the season has passed, but the symptoms can reappear in the same season the following year.
