Causes and treatment of ovarian cyst formation

The causes of ovarian cysts include physiological cysts caused by hormonal changes and pathological cysts caused by endocrine disorders, etc. The treatments include temporary observation and surgical removal. Ovarian cysts are categorized into physiological cysts and pathological cysts. Physiologic cysts are mostly caused by changes in hormone levels or ovulation disorders, etc. These cysts do not require treatment and usually disappear on their own. On the other hand, pathological cysts are caused by endocrine disorders, bacterial and viral infections and so on. If the cyst is larger than 5cm, surgical removal is required. For malignant tumors (including ovarian cancer, etc.), female patients who do not have reproductive requirements can undergo total removal of the ovaries and uterus. Patients with ovarian cysts are advised to consult a doctor in time and choose reasonable treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
