Patients suspected of concussion should first go to the hospital for relevant examinations, and after ruling out organic diseases, it is enough to pay attention to rest, and generally no special treatment is needed.
Patients with concussion may have headache, dizziness, memory impairment, retrograde amnesia, etc. Patients with cerebral hemorrhage and epidural hematoma may also have similar symptoms, so they should first do a cranial CT to rule out other diseases.
The biggest difference between concussion and other organic encephalopathies is that although patients have some symptoms of headache and dizziness, patients generally have no obvious organic changes in head CT.
Concussion is mainly to rest, the vast majority of patients can be cured after 1~2 weeks of bed rest. Patients with obvious headache can take some oral pain medication, such as ibuprofen, celecoxib and so on.
It is recommended that patients with suspected concussions seek medical attention in a timely manner and be actively treated under the guidance of a doctor.
