There will be symptoms of tooth discomfort or occlusal pain after root canal superfilling. 1. Root canal treatment is one of the routine dental treatments, mainly used for pain and other symptoms caused by pulpitis or apical periodontitis; root canal treatment includes root canal cleaning, root canal disinfection and root canal filling; root canal filling is the last step of root canal treatment, i.e., the cleaned up root canals are filled with materials such as dental adhesive in order to isolate the invasion of external bacteria and other substances. 2. If the filling material such as gum tip exceeds the apical foramen (i.e. overfilling), root discomfort and occlusal pain will occur, and in severe cases, persistent spontaneous pain will also occur; it is recommended to consult a doctor for root canal re-treatment after the overfilled gum and other materials are removed and re-filling treatment is carried out.
