Paroxetine is a drug more commonly used in clinical practice for the treatment of depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. During the course of treatment with this drug, patients may experience sexual dysfunction, such as orgasmic disorder, difficulty with male penile erection, delayed male ejaculation, delayed orgasm, and sexual impotence, among other sexual dysfunctions. Patients who experience significant sexual dysfunction in the course of using paroxetine, which has a serious impact on patients’ lives, are advised to stop using paroxetine and switch to other antidepressant and anxiolytic drugs, such as mirtazapine and bupropion, which have less impact on sexual dysfunction.
