What is the condition of a fleshy bump on the root of a tooth?

A fleshy bump on the root of a tooth, if it is a swollen abscess on the root of the tooth in the mouth, this could be due to the presence of a periapical abscess. Alternatively, it may be caused by a periodontal abscess, which is routinely detected as a low-density image at the root tip on radiographs. In this case, root canal treatment can be done to promote the remission of the periapical abscess, and oral anti-inflammatory drugs such as amoxicillin or roxithromycin can be taken as appropriate. In the case of a periodontal abscess, local irrigation and removal of calculus can be performed, while incision and drainage can be performed for severe swelling. In the case of an extracted tooth with a fleshy bump on the root, this may be an apical granuloma due to recurrent inflammation of the root tip, or it may be an apical cyst, and this occurs in teeth with recurrent lesions.
