Five Fingered Peach is a sweet and warm tasting Chinese herb. It belongs to the lung, stomach, spleen, large intestine and liver meridians. It has the effects of resolving dampness and expelling phlegm, strengthening the spleen and vital energy, and relaxing the tendons and activating the collaterals.
It is used in treating lung deficiency, phlegm and asthma, spleen and stomach qi deficiency, limb fatigue and weakness, low food intake and abdominal distension, edema, hypoglossia, rheumatism and paralysis, and lumbar and leg pain. It can also be used for qi deficiency and swelling, and can be combined with jackfruit.
Although there is no indication of contraindications related to five-fingered hairy peach, it is recommended that it should be used under the guidance of a doctor’s diagnosis.
