Rhinoplasty FAQ

1.What complications will there be after rhinoplasty? A few people may have infection, poor nasal shape and rejection reaction after rhinoplasty, if they occur, they should ask the doctor to deal with them in time. The most important thing is that prevention should be the main focus, as long as the surgery is performed by a formal cosmetic surgeon and attention is paid to not accumulating pressure and collision after surgery, complications will be reduced to a minimum. 2.What should I do if the postoperative effect of rhinoplasty is not satisfactory? The vast majority of people can obtain satisfactory results after surgery, and individuals who have poor or skewed appearance can have another surgery for correction, and even if there is rejection reaction, it is easy to remove the solid silicone. 3.Does rhinoplasty affect the normal function of the nasal cavity? The rhinoplasty is performed between the nasal bone and the soft tissue of the nasal dorsum, which is completely unrelated to the nasal cavity, so it will not affect the physiological function of the nasal cavity, let alone the situation such as rhinitis, nasal congestion, runny nose and change of smell. 4.Does the rhinoplasty procedure hurt? This is a concern for everyone who wants to do rhinoplasty. Some people want to have a nose job but are afraid of pain and hesitate to make up their mind. Rhinoplasty is performed under local anesthesia, the injection of anesthetic is just like the injection of other drugs, there will be a little pain when entering the needle, when the anesthesia takes effect, some people will have local soreness and swelling but will not feel pain. After the surgery, there is generally no need to take painkillers, only when the anesthetic fails or when the injection is wrong will you feel pain and discomfort. 5.What kind of filling materials are used for rhinoplasty? At present, the commonly used materials are autologous bone tissue, tumescent and medical silicone, which have their own advantages and disadvantages. Autologous bone implantation will not produce a rejection reaction but not easy to shape, although cartilage is easy to shape but may appear deformation and absorption phenomenon, autologous bone implantation at the same time also increases a surgical site also increases the pain of the patient, not easy for patients to accept. The nasal bone can be well combined with the expanded body, but it is not easy to shape the low tip of the nose, and it is difficult to remove once needed. Solid silicone is commonly used because of its stable performance, non-carcinogenic effect, safety and non-toxicity, moderate hardness and softness, easy to shape, and can be removed and replaced when necessary. Liquid silicone injection rhinoplasty is not used as incision, easy to operate, but the foreign body reaction symptoms are serious, the long-term effect is poor, and it is difficult to remove, so it has been eliminated.
