The difference between projectile vomiting and non-projectile vomiting lies in the different clinical symptoms, different etiologic factors, and so on. 1. Projectile vomiting: It means that there is no discomfort in the stomach and epigastric region, but the vomiting is more rapid, with higher pressure and higher tension. Usually, the vomit is gastric contents, and the jet is far away. Mostly seen in intracranial lesions, such as cerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, cerebral infarction, epidemic meningitis and so on, resulting in increased intracranial pressure caused by headache, projectile vomiting. 2. Non-projectile vomiting: usually caused by gastrointestinal inflammatory reaction, food poisoning and other causes of intestinal retrograde peristalsis caused by vomiting. Gastric contents are vomited with the reverse peristalsis of the intestines through the esophagus and out of the mouth with less pressure. Vomiting symptoms need to go to the hospital as soon as possible, by the doctor according to the specific conditions, a clear diagnosis, so as not to delay the condition.
