Why is bloodletting at the tip of the ear so effective in “removing fire”?

Bloodletting” is an ancient and effective method in Chinese medicine to remove fire. Traditional medicine believes that bloodletting from the ear tips can clear heat and relieve fire, especially the fire above the chest and diaphragm, which is considered by Chinese medicine to be “inflammatory in nature”, so the symptoms of fire are mostly manifested above the throat. The tip of the ear is easier to locate and operate than other bloodletting sites in the ear, and the pain is relatively mild, so it is most widely used. In Chinese medicine, the liver is called the “general’s official” and is closely related to emotional activities. If the liver is not functioning properly, liver fire symptoms may easily arise. From a modern medical point of view, the tip of the ear is located in a position equivalent to the higher center of the autonomic nerve, which plays an important role in regulating the internal functions and emotions of the human body. According to the principle of biological holographic law, the human body in miniature in the ear is not only an inverted fetus, but also a positive fetus. The ear tip point corresponds to the location of the head and the perineum, so it has a better therapeutic effect on the symptoms of fire in the head and face.
