What is adenomyosis?

Adenomyosis is a gynecological disease caused by benign infiltration of the endometrium into the myometrium and diffuse growth therein. Adenomyosis is actually a type of endometriosis, the cause of which is not very clear at this stage, and most scholars believe that it is either related to the proliferation of endometrial cells in the basal layer of the uterine lining. The main cause of adenomyosis is that the endometrium grows outside of the uterine cavity. In clinical practice, the most common is that the endometrium grows above the ovaries and causes ovarian cysts, which are ovarian ectopic cysts, also known as chocolate cysts. If it grows into the myometrium it is called adenomyosis, which is a diffuse lesion that forms adenomyomatous fibroids, and most patients with adenomyosis have adenomyomas of the uterus. Since the uterine lining does not grow normally inside the uterine cavity, it can cause a series of clinical symptoms such as severe dysmenorrhea, infertility, irregular menstruation, and painful intercourse. There is also a relationship between adenomyosis and one’s endocrine level. Women suffering from adenomyosis are to be treated in time. At this stage, it can be completely cured by conservative treatment with medication, Mannix Ring and surgery, and timely treatment will lead to a good result.
