The correct way to take Colla Corii Asini is to add it into the decocted Chinese medicine soup and take it together, which should be taken according to the doctor’s prescription.
The Pharmacopoeia points out that Colla Corii Asini can be taken by melting, that is, Colla Corii Asini is packed in a bowl and put into a pot to be heated by water, i.e., stewed under water. When the Colla Corii Asini melts, the Colla Corii Asini is melted. After melting, the Colla Corii Asini should be added into the decocted Chinese medicine soup to be taken, that is, Colla Corii Asini is melted to be taken.
Colla Corii Asini has the effect of nourishing yin and tonifying blood, stopping bleeding and moistening dryness. It is used in treating blood deficiency, dizziness, palpitations, muscle impotence, internal movement of wind, insomnia, lung dryness, cough, hemoptysis, vomiting blood, blood in stools, leakage of menstruation (excessive menstruation or more than a few drops of menstruation), blood in urine, and leakage of fetus in pregnancy (small amount of bleeding from the vagina in the early stage of pregnancy), and so on. People with spleen deficiency and loose stools should be cautious of taking Colla Corii Asini.
