Therefore, intrauterine placement of the levonorgestrel IUD system mainly has a localized effect on the endometrium, with a lesser effect on the ovaries; therefore, wearing the levonorgestrel IUD system for 5 years does not cause a decrease in ovarian reserve function and does not lead to aging.
