Vocal fold cysts are cyst-like objects located on the surface of the vocal folds, which can cause hoarseness and stifling of the voice, etc. Their treatment is mainly surgical, usually with microscope-supported laryngoscopic removal of vocal fold cysts. The procedure is to perform a supported laryngoscope after satisfactory general anesthesia, insert it from the oral cavity to reach the epiglottis and pick up the epiglottis, about 1 cm forward to expose the vocal cord, fix the laryngoscope with a fixed rod and adjust the microscope to the best condition. The mucosa is cut along the surface of the vocal cord at the vocal cord cyst with a sickle knife, and the cyst is separated with a flat spatula until it is completely free and then the cyst is removed with a microscopic laryngeal forceps, generally without suturing the wound, and after complete hemostasis, the procedure is completed by exiting the supported laryngoscope.
