What are the types of refractory nephrotic syndrome?

The types of refractory nephrotic syndrome are mainly categorized into hormone-resistant, hormone-dependent, and frequent exacerbation types. Nephrotic syndrome in clinic is mainly due to immune factors, genetic factors, infections and other factors that lead to glomerular damage. It usually causes large amount of proteinuria, high degree of edema, hyperlipidemia, hypoproteinemia and other discomforts. 1. Hormone resistance type. Hormone-resistant type means that after hormone treatment for a period of time, it doesn’t achieve effective effect, which makes nephrotic syndrome difficult to be cured. 2. Hormone-dependent type. Usually nephrotic syndrome can be treated with glucocorticosteroids such as prednisone and methylprednisolone as prescribed by doctors. It can play the role of anti-inflammatory. At the beginning of taking the drug need to drug enough, and then gradually reduce the drug, usually need long-term maintenance. The hormone-dependent type is in the process of hormone reduction, relapse or aggravation. 3. Bust type. Frequently, after nephrotic syndrome is cured by glucocorticosteroids, cyclophosphamide, cyclosporine and other drugs, and when the drugs are gradually reduced or stopped, the relapse occurs again. When the above three conditions occur, it is called refractory nephrotic syndrome, and it is recommended to consult the doctor in time and adjust the drugs or other treatments under the doctor’s guidance.
