Eating persimmons is not easy to get stones

Inappropriate eating of persimmons can lead to stomach stones because persimmons, especially unripe persimmons, contain a large amount of tannic acid, which can easily react with stomach acid or with protein-rich or calcium-rich foods to form indigestible stomach stones, causing abdominal pain, bloating and even obstruction of the gastrointestinal tract. When eating persimmons, avoid eating persimmons on an empty stomach to reduce the chance of excess stomach acid reacting with persimmons to form gastric stones. When eating persimmons it is important to avoid not consuming too much at one time, as this can cause a high incidence of stones due to the large amount of tannic acid entering the body.
