Difference between ok lenses and contact lenses

The difference between ok lenses and contact lenses is mainly reflected in three aspects, such as wearing time, oxygen permeability and operation.
1. Wearing time: Ortho-K lenses are worn at night before going to bed and taken off during the day. Contact lenses are usually worn during the day and removed at night.
2. Oxygen permeability: OK lenses have higher oxygen permeability than contact lenses, which can meet the oxygen demand of the cornea, while the oxygen permeability of ordinary contact lenses varies from material to material, which is poorer than OK lenses, and it is easy to cause eye inflammation due to the lack of oxygen in the cornea.
3. Operation: Before wearing OK lenses, in order to avoid direct abrasion of the cornea, the lenses will be filled with eye drops, so that there is a layer of liquid between the eyes and the lenses, which is easy to circulate the tears. Ordinary contact lenses are worn directly to the cornea, it is easy to rub the corneal cells.
Whether it’s ok lenses or contact lenses, you should go to a regular facility for fitting, and wear and care for them properly during the day.
