Patients with new coronavirus sequelae

There are no official research data on patients with sequelae of novel coronaviruses. Only some studies have shown that the sequelae are different in patients with mild disease and those with severe disease. 1. Mildly ill patients: Mildly ill patients generally have less lung function impairment and relatively few other body dysfunctions. 2. Patients with severe disease: Patients with severe disease may have ventilation dysfunction, pulmonary fibrosis, or affect male fertility, and there are reports that cognitive function may be affected, etc. However, the sequelae need to be clinically studied and summarized in a large number of cases. Studies have shown that the majority of patients with severe disease are elderly or have chronic underlying diseases, obese, etc., while children have relatively mild symptoms. People who have been infected with novel coronavirus pneumonia need to be monitored regularly to determine whether there are any adverse sequelae. [Note: On December 26, 2022, the National Health Commission announced that the terms “new coronavirus pneumonia” and “new coronavirus pneumonia” were renamed to “new coronavirus infection” in this article.
