The decoction of Chinese medicine and taken properly can often get twice the result with half the effort; this platform, specially collected and combined with the experience of the decoction method and its precautions, edited as follows: I. About decoction vessels Traditional decoction of Chinese medicine is mostly casserole, tile pot, modern ceramic, enamel and its stainless steel, glassware and other materials made of vessels can also be applied, while iron, copper, aluminum, tin pots and other metal utensils should not be used The appliance frying utensils are used with reference to the instructions.  The water used for soaking and decocting Chinese medicine is commonly tap water (one hour of sedimentation is appropriate), pure water, clean well water, etc.; soak for about 30 minutes, then decoct; decoction with water without medicine about 50px is appropriate, add enough once before decoction, and generally should not be added during the process, with appropriate cover to avoid volatilization.  The decoction time depends on the medicinal properties, the water is boiled for 1~3 minutes in martial fire, and then changed to slow decoction in civil fire; the decoction is stirred 2~3 times, and each dose is often decocted 2 times, usually 30 minutes for the first decoction and 20 minutes for the second decoction; the decoction volume is 50~100ml for children and 100~150ml for adults, and the medicine is concentrated when necessary.  The tonic medicine commonly used by blood patients is boiled with martial fire and then slowly decocted with civil fire for 40~60 minutes. Mineral, crustacean and toxic Chinese medicines can be decocted for a longer period of time, e.g. Radix et Rhizoma, which needs to be decocted first and for a long time, even not less than 2 or 3 hours when applied in large doses; for part-time application of antiphlogistic, antipyretic and aromatic medicines, it is not suitable to be decocted for a long time, usually 15 minutes after boiling. Dosage: 100~150ml for adults, 2 times a day; 75~100ml for children, 2 times a day; if the liquid is too much, the liquid can be decocted again with a light fire to concentrate.
