In suspected pneumonia patients with novel coronavirus infection, symptoms such as fever, malaise, dry cough, and in a few patients, nasal congestion, runny nose, and diarrhea may occur. Severe cases tend to develop respiratory distress after a week, with rapid progression to acute respiratory distress syndrome, septic shock, uncorrectable metabolic acidosis, and bleeding and coagulation dysfunction in severe cases. If respiratory symptoms, fever, chills, malaise, diarrhea, and conjunctival congestion occur, prompt medical investigation is required.
