How does a period come

After a woman enters puberty, her ovaries begin to undergo cyclic changes, periodically secreting estrogen and progesterone. The endometrium will change accordingly under the effect of the ovaries’ cyclic secretion of estrogen and progesterone. The endometrium will appear to thicken. As estrogen and progesterone decrease, the endometrium will lose the support of these two hormones and the endometrium will shed and finally bleed, which will manifest as menstruation. After menstruation, the hormone levels in the body start to change again and the next menstrual cycle begins again, and this is how menstruation comes about. Therefore, the ovaries are very important to women and it is recommended that women should live a regular life in their daily life, develop good habits and be in a happy mood in order to maintain the normal function of the ovaries.
