Combined SLE in pregnancy is when SLE occurs before or during pregnancy, mostly before pregnancy. SLE has a significant impact on pregnancy; it is an autoimmune disease that often causes embryonic arrest in early pregnancy and increases the incidence of specific conditions such as high blood pressure in pregnancy in middle and late pregnancy. Pregnancy can also exacerbate SLE, sometimes causing sudden exacerbation of the disease and even multi-organ failure, which can jeopardize the life of the pregnant woman.
