Is there a problem with the left side of the sac?

The left side of the gestational sac can be categorized into the left side of the uterine cavity or the left side of the uterine horn, the former is generally not a big problem, the latter needs to be closely monitored.

1. The gestational sac is on the left side of the uterine cavity: this is mostly a normal phenomenon. If the embryo grows in the direction of the uterine cavity as it continues to develop, it will develop into a normal fetus, and regular checkups will be sufficient.

2. The gestational sac is on the left side of the uterine cavity: this situation is more dangerous. If the embryo grows towards the left uterine horn and fallopian tube during development, as the gestational sac increases in size, the placenta encroaches on the uterine horn, leading to rupture of the weak muscular layer of the uterine horn, which may lead to hemorrhage or even miscarriage of the pregnant woman.

Therefore, if the pregnancy sac is on the left side of the uterine horn, it is recommended to check regularly and consult a doctor if symptoms such as vaginal bleeding or abdominal pain occur.
