ASC-US is also known as atypical squamous cells without clear diagnostic significance, which cannot be diagnosed with a clear cause and result yet. However, such atypical cellular changes do not occur in the cervix under normal circumstances, and are mostly considered to be related to early cervical cancer lesions, which require timely and complete examination, followed by targeted treatment. After the appearance of cervical ASC-US results, it is recommended to go to the hospital for further examination. For example, timely high-risk HPV test, if the result is positive, then continue to further colposcopy, pathological tissue biopsy, etc., and later according to the situation of the cervical conization treatment; if the HPV is negative, then 6-12 months can be reviewed.
