What’s wrong with the leukorrhea that looks like green snot?

Leukorrhea like green snot indicates a greenish color of leukorrhea, mostly considered to be caused by bacterial vaginitis or trichomoniasis. When a woman has a bacterial infection in the vagina, her leukorrhea is green, yellowish-green, or purulent. Mild bacterial infections have green or greenish colored leukorrhea with mild vulvar itching and foul-smelling discharge. In women with trichomoniasis, the leucorrhea is yellowish green or cyan, with a fishy odor and less pronounced vulvar itching. Normally, the leucorrhea is like clear snot, colorless, odorless and without symptoms of vulvar itching. Women with green snot-like leucorrhea are advised to use bitter ginseng lotion or gynecologic cleansing for vulva cleansing and localized metronidazole suppositories for treatment. If the symptoms are severe, you can take oral anti-inflammatory drugs, such as cephalosporins, quinolones and tinidazole for anti-infection treatment.
