The presence of 4 breasts suggests the presence of paratesticular lesions, which need to be followed up and observed or treated surgically depending on the patient’s condition.
Paramastia is a common abnormality of breast development, which is caused by incomplete degeneration of the mammary gland primordium, resulting in the appearance of a breast-like structure around the normal breast. It is commonly found in the axillary region, the upper lateral areas of both breasts, and in some cases in the abdominal region. The lesions may be unilateral or bilateral.
Patients with paratesticular lesions may have four breasts. The paratesticular lesion may or may not have a nipple and just appear as a localized bulge of tissue. And, since some paratesticular lesions may contain mammary glandular structures, they may be accompanied by corresponding changes in the body’s estrogen levels, especially with symptoms of pain in the paratesticular region.
For cases of multiple breasts found, patients are advised to seek medical checkups, where ultrasound, molybdenum target and other tests can be used to analyze and confirm the diagnosis of the condition. Surgery is often recommended to remove the lesions, and if the patient is afraid of surgery, close follow-up is required.
