What is lung fever?

Lung fever refers to the symptoms of actual fever caused by the accumulation of heat in the lungs and the loss of lung purification, with coughing, wheezing and nasal agitation as the main manifestations. This symptom is usually caused by the evil of wind-heat entering the lung or the evil of wind-cold entering the lung and turning into heat, which accumulates in the lung. The symptoms include fever, thirst, cough, coarse breath and wheezing, or even nasal agitation, burning nasal breath, chest pain, or redness and pain in the throat. Short, red urine, constipated stool, red tongue with yellow fur, and a flooded pulse. Treatment is to clear the lung and release heat. Commonly used formula: Ma Heng Shi Gan Tang with addition and subtraction. Commonly used herbs: ephedra, almond, gypsum, raw licorice. Commonly used acupoints: Lung Yu, Tanzhong, Zhigou, Daling, Fengmen, and Feosanli. Commonly eat pears, loquats, watermelon, winter melon, loofah, bamboo shoots, raw lotus root, etc.
