What does eye kp mean?

KP of the eye refers to posterior corneal deposits, which are mainly seen in inflammatory diseases of the eye. After inflammation, the inflammatory cells in the atrial water, the pigment particles of the iris, and the temperature difference of the atrial water behind the cornea cause the inflammatory cells and pigment cells to adhere to the corneal endothelium, which is called posterior corneal deposits, also known as KP. The deposits are mostly deposited in the central lower part of the cornea, usually in a triangular shape, but also in a regional distribution, and can be divided into large, medium, and small particles according to the shape and size. . Depending on the severity of inflammation, the severity, duration and amount of exudate manifestation are different. Small, dust-like KP is most often seen in acute iridocyclitis, while large, suet-like KP is most often seen in ocular syndromes.
