Common adverse reactions of penicillin mainly include the following three categories: 1, the most common and easy to occur, is anaphylactic shock, usually seen in patients with a history of penicillin allergy, penicillin infusion is prone to blood pressure drop, cold extremities, accelerated pulse and other allergic shock reactions. The main treatment is to give adrenaline and dexamethasone, and the main prevention is to ask in detail whether there is a history of penicillin allergy, and pay close attention to the patient’s blood pressure and vital signs during the infusion process. Fasting must be avoided before infusion so as not to induce anaphylactic shock reaction.2. Hepatic insufficiency and renal insufficiency can lead to hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity when penicillin is infused, which can be relieved and disappeared after stopping the infusion of penicillin.3. Neurological symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, vomiting, delirium, and even coma caused by overdose of penicillin infusion are clinically referred to as penicillin encephalopathy. The clinical term is penicillin encephalopathy. So avoid overdose of penicillin during infusion to avoid inducing penicillin encephalopathy.
