What is a molecular target for patients with advanced gastric cancer?

A second-line international multicenter study of GlaxoSmithKline’s lapatinib in combination with once-weekly paclitaxel versus once-weekly paclitaxel alone in ErbB-2-positive advanced gastric cancer. lapatinib is a new anti-cancer drug developed by GlaxoSmithKline and is currently being studied clinically in gastric cancer patients in China and abroad. lapatinib is a Lapatinib is a drug that inhibits cancer proliferation by blocking ErbB1 and ErbB2 cancer proliferation signals. Previous studies have demonstrated that lapatinib has a significant inhibitory effect on ErbB1 and ErbB2 amplified cancer cells, and therefore is expected to be an effective drug for the treatment of patients with gastric cancer. Patients with gastric cancer who meet the following major criteria may meet the enrollment criteria 1. all histologically or cytologically confirmed gastric cancer, age ≥ 20 years; patients with ErbB2 amplification detected by FISH in primary or metastatic tumor tissue; 2. patients who have received chemotherapy including 5-fluorouracil and/or cisplatin regimens and are now determined to have progressive gastric cancer; 3. measurable lesions according to RECIST criteria; 4. normal cardiac function with left ventricular ejection fraction within If you meet the enrollment criteria, the treatment drugs will be provided free of charge, and the related examination costs will be free of charge.
