Notes on urine loss habits

Pediatric enuresis, also called bedwetting, is a condition in which children aged 3 to 5 years or older urinate during sleep and wake up later. Most healthy children do not urinate at night after the age of 3, and almost all healthy children should not urinate at night after the age of 5. In children with enuresis, we need to emphasize care and conditioning along with treatment. Do not overexert the child during the day, avoid emotional excitement, urinate before bedtime, give the child less water, and wake him/her up at night to urinate so that he/she can gradually develop the habit of self-controlled urination. It is strictly forbidden to scold the child after urine loss to avoid emotional tension, and if there is progress, encouragement should be given to help the child build confidence to overcome urine loss and actively cooperate with medication and various treatments. Prevention and care: (1) Cultivate the habit of urinating on time from an early age and avoid excessive fatigue. (2) Actively prevent and treat the primary disease that causes enuresis. (3) Give less liquid diet and drink less water at dinner and bedtime. (4) Empty urine before going to bed, pay attention to the time of urine loss after going to bed, wake up on time to urinate, do not make the child nervous, cultivate and strengthen the confidence of the child to cure the disease. (5) Pay attention to the avoidance of food, do not eat cold, cold, hot and dry food.
