What to look for when adding an MRI

There are two main considerations for enhanced MRI: 1. Whether the patient can do a general MRI, such as whether there are pacemakers, metal clips, and metal substances such as steel plates in the body, and whether there is claustrophobia, if they are all okay before they can do it. Patients should remove all metal objects from their bodies before the examination, such as metal accessories on clothing, dentures, and watches, etc. 2. Since enhanced MRI requires intravenous contrast, it is important to inform the doctor of a detailed allergy history and do an allergy test before the examination. If there is no problem before you can do it, as contrast agents are prone to contrast-related nephropathy in the process of use, so patients with diabetes, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease should pay attention before the examination, and whether they can do it depends on the doctor’s findings. Patients should decide whether to fast and for how long according to the examination site before doing it.
