Diagnostic basis for frostbite of the face

Face frostbite is a localized injury caused by the action of cold on the body under certain conditions. The occurrence of face frostbite is related to the intensity of the cold, wind speed, humidity, and the time of freezing, but also to humidity, poor local blood circulation and reduced drought resistance. Experts point out that the symptoms of face frostbite at the onset are similar to the symptoms of very chapped skin, and patients need to know how to identify them so as to avoid misdiagnosis of the situation. Face frostbite diagnosis based on: 1, there is a history of frost, especially in the humid and windy environment. 2, early numbness in the frozen area, with burning, itching or tingling after rewarming. If there is necrosis, there is no feeling. 3, cold injury after rewarming clinical manifestations are divided into four degrees: ① Ⅰ degree: superficial cold skin injury, skin is erythematous, mild edema. ② Ⅱ degree: superficial skin and part of the deep cold injury, early congestion edema, followed by blister formation. ③ Ⅲ degree: cold injury to skin and subcutaneous tissue, full skin necrosis, skin from pale to purple-brown and then to black. ④Degree IV: cold injury involving deep tissues. Dry necrosis of deep tissues and loss of function.
