Third-degree frostbite injury and the whole layer of the skin, appear black or purple-brown, pain and sensory loss, the injury is not easy to heal, in addition to scarring, there may be long-term sensory sensitivity or pain. Fourth degree frostbite injury to the skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscle and even bone, may appear necrosis, loss of sensory entrapment, healing may have scar formation.
