Qihai point is located in the lower abdomen of the human body, 1.5 inches below the umbilicus in the midline, and is used for treating the evidence of deficiency of vital energy, such as shortness of breath, weakness, etc.; diseases of the spleen and stomach, such as water and grain failure, pain around the umbilicus, diarrhea, dysentery, constipation, etc.; diseases of the urinary and reproductive system, such as dysuria (unruly urine), dyspareunia, spermatorrhea, impotence; and gynecological diseases, such as menstrual disorders, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, and disintegrative leakage (excessive menstrual flow or dribbling), etc. There are many important organs deep below the navel, so individuals should not operate on the above points to avoid undesirable accidents.
