Liver depression can develop into Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome, Liver-stomach disharmony syndrome, and Liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome. 1. Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome: Liver qi stagnation and stagnation of qi can lead to obstruction of blood transportation, resulting in Qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome, which is manifested by fullness in the chest and ribs, pain in the chest and ribs, stabbing pain and refusal to be pressed, menstrual closure or menstrual cramps, dark and purple menstruation with blood clots, breast pain and distension, and dark and purple tongue or purple spots. 2.
