The sequelae of lumbar compression fracture are related to the degree of fracture and injury, as follows: 1. chronic pain in the lumbar back: seen in patients with mild disease but poor treatment results; 2. motor and sensory impairment of limbs, even paraplegia: seen in patients with severe disease; 3. inability to recover from paraplegia: seen in patients with paraplegia whose nerves are not completely damaged but have spinal stenosis, untimely performance of expanded spinal canal angioplasty, or poor surgical results of complete nerve damage; 4. hunchback deformity: seen in patients with osteoporosis without anti-osteoporosis treatment, caused by compression fractures of other multiple vertebrae.
