How to stop pain from shoulder gout

Shoulder gout may be related to abnormal purine metabolism, commonly used colchicine, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, glucocorticoids and other drugs for pain relief treatment.
1. Colchicine: Early use of small doses of colchicine can be effective in relieving shoulder gout, and it is most effective when used within 48 hours of an acute attack.
2. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs: Shoulder gout can be treated with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as indomethacin and etoricoxib, which can effectively relieve pain symptoms.
3. Glucocorticoid: If the shoulder pain is still not relieved after the use of NSAIDs and colchicine, short-term oral glucocorticoid or injection in the joint cavity can be taken to relieve pain.
Gout patients should pay attention to low purine diet, avoid intake of animal offal, seafood and other high-purine food, regular exercise, less alcohol.
Shoulder gout patients are advised to go to the rheumatology and immunology department of the regular hospital as soon as possible, and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment. The above medications should be used in accordance with the doctor’s instructions, do not self-medication.
