What happened when the stools started out normal and ended up with a snot-like consistency?

Stools that start out normal and end up with a snotty consistency are associated with enteritis, dysentery and schistosomiasis, small bowel inflammation, and lesions of the large intestine. Stool snot-like mucus indicates the presence of mucus stool, normal feces sometimes have a very small amount of mucus present, but mucus and stool evenly mixed usually will not be easily detected. If the mucus can be seen with the naked eye, it means that more mucus is present. If the mucus is present in large quantities, it is common in enteritis, dysentery and schistosomiasis. If the mucus is evenly mixed in the feces, it can be seen in small bowel inflammation; if the mucus is mostly attached to the surface of the feces, it is seen in large bowel lesions. The appearance of snot-like mucus in the stool may also be caused by other reasons, it is recommended to consult a doctor in a timely manner, after a clear diagnosis to give standardized treatment.
