Generally, topical medications for shingles include furacilin solution, glycerite lotion, acyclovir or pentoxifylline cream.
Topical medication for herpes zoster is antiviral, drying, and anti-inflammatory. When the blisters are unbroken, you can use topical glycerine lotion, acyclovir cream or spray acyclovir cream; after the herpes breaks out, you can use 3% boric acid solution or 1:5000 furacilin solution as appropriate to apply wet compresses, and use neomycin ointment or mupirocin ointment externally.
It should be noted that the treatment of herpes zoster is still based on systemic drug therapy, the need for early, adequate use of nucleoside antiviral drugs such as acyclovir, vasiclovir, famciclovir and other treatments.
After the appearance of herpes zoster, the patient should promptly consult a doctor, follow the doctor’s instructions to use medication, do not unauthorized use of drugs.
