What is posterior neuralgia

Postherpetic neuralgia is also called postherpetic neuralgia because it is usually secondary to herpes zoster. Herpes zoster is clinically manifested as local nerve involvement, neuralgia from herpes on the mucosa, often involving the nerves, and when the herpes disappears some patients will have neuralgia left over from the previous herpes location or adjacent locations, and if it lasts longer than a month it is called postherpetic neuralgia. Herpes zoster neuralgia is usually intense and long-lasting, and the pain is burning, stabbing or cutting pain, which seriously affects the basic life and work of the patient, and the disease is easily recurring. Acupuncture, massage and Chinese medicine are also suitable for this disease, but the treatment effect has certain limitations.
